Certified that I have this day carefully examined Mr. P. J. Hageland, Crown Solicitor, Hong Kong. Though not dangerously ill since the receipt of the wounds of the head, Mr. Hageland had suffered from dizziness, was affected by nervous & auricular troubles. On these accounts, and with a view to the improvement of his general health, I recommend that Mr. Hageland be allowed leave for three months.
