You will percant from the War Office Letter of 1/1 Sept, which was enclosed in my despatch 20139, taken in concurrence with my letter of the 21 March (annexed) that it will be necessary to provide by the terms of the Crown Lease that the Buildings on the Beach shall not be of a height sufficient to shut out the breeze from the Sea and the Barracks on the Hill above (which height should be specified) and that the Lessees be prohibited from carrying on certain unwholesome trades (also to be specified) in the Lease or any others which may hereafter be prestabilised by the Govt as likely to prove injurious to the health of the Troops in the Vicinity.
