In reply to your letter of 2nd instant, I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you for the information of the Duke of Newcastle that my Lords see no objection to the expenditure of the sum of $6145. on two floating Police Stations in Hong Kong, provision being made for the amount in the supplementary Estimate for the year.
