In particular the Court of Directors are desirous to have transactions with the respective Governments in the Islands of Ceylon, and Mauritius, where they will be enabled to do business on terms favourable those of the Colonial Bank, to the constitution of which, that of the Chartered Mercantile Bank is in all material respects previously similar, and with which establishment our Bank may be considered to stand on an equality.
