estimated Revenue.
Occurred
chiefly
under the head
of
Sales
of
Land Leases; the
fees
of the General Revenue of the
Colony,
and
that the fees
taken from the Candidates for examination
are
appropriated by the Ordinance for the payment of the Examiners, but are to be paid to the Colonial Treasurer, "for the general purposes of the Colony." It appears to us therefore, that the Payments and Receipts should be

estimated at £1,000,
£36,374.
The Leases (which were sold by Public Auction) were for the usual term of 999 years, and the
annual rent payable under them amount to £3681. A lease for 999 years
