In reply to your letter of the 30th ult. I am directed by Secretary Sir George Grey to acquaint you for the information of the Duke of Newcastle, that James W. Thompson is to be brought from Hong Kong to England in order to be detained in a Lunatic Asylum at the expense of the Imperial Government.
