and I am to add that last year a further Allowance of One Hundred Pounds a year was granted to him in respect of services rendered to Her Majesty's Diplomatic and Consular Establishment in Japan, making a yearly Allowance of Three Hundred and Fifty Pounds which he receives from this Office.
