towards endeavouring to provide for the Library temporary accommodation of a more suitable character than that to which they are at present restricted, and, likewise, to meet the temporary expenditure which would be incurred until the Government grants came into operation.

We do not doubt that this matter will commend itself to your Excellency's favourable attention, and through your effectual aid receive the confirmation of the local Legislature and of the Colonial Department of the Home Government,
