A plan prepared by Mr. Blewly is herewith submitted, showing the extent of the ground applied for, which can only be obtained of sufficient dimensions by a slight diversion of the road connecting the Queens Road with the Praya.
The curve of the road will, in the opinion of Mr. Blewly, be improved by this alteration.

The only difficulty that occurs to the Committee is in regard to the Harbour Master's Office, which occupies a portion of the proposed site, and renders the remainder inadequate for any useful ornamental purpose whatever. This difficulty can however be obviated by the Government permitting the present Harbour Master's Office to be removed, on the understanding that an equal amount of accommodation shall be provided for that Department in the Eastern (and therefore best ventilated)
