As the contents of this letter have peculiar reference to matters connected with the Sanitary Committee, I deem it proper to depart from the usual custom and address you in private.
I will thank you, therefore, to inform His Excellency The Acting Governor, that the Committee is decidedly of opinion that a sum should be allocated for the purposes mentioned.
