In acknowledgment of those good services I would beg to recommend that His Excellency be pleased to authorize a gratuity of Twenty Dollars.
The second case is street robbery, they had just taken nine dollars from a poor woman in the street, there was near at the time seeing the thief running, pursued him and took him into Custody with the money in his hand sent back for six months; this I recommend to His Excellency for a gratuity of Ten Dollars.
In making this application I beg leave to forward a Return showing the amount of monies paid into the Colonial Treasury monthly, on account of misconduct of Police Constables since the past year.
