In your Court to act as Secretary to the Committee, the question of remuneration to be made to that Gentleman for his services being reserved till the amount of work he has to perform has been ascertained.
His Excellency is desirous that you should call a meeting as early as may be convenient to yourself and the members of the Committee, it is all important that any report the Committee think it necessary to make should be sent in as soon as possible with a view to carrying out its recommendation before the return of the hot weather. And I enclose for your perusal a letter from Colonel Morry.
