I do myself the honor to request that I may be furnished with a Copy of
the Contract entered into with the Peninsula and Oriental Steam Navigation Company,
for the
conveyance of the Mails to and from this place,
as
reference to it is frequently needed, amongst other reasons, at present I am desirous of
ascertaining whether there
is
any
clause in it to prevent the Company
carrying
letters by their Vessels otherwise...
