Battery Road to Praya.
PLAN OR DESCRIPTION.
This service it is necessary now to commence in consequence of the private works in connection with the execution on Marine Lots No. 198 and 199 by the French Government, rendering the formation of the main channel or Nullah which passes between the Lots imperative as the Stream is of considerable magnitude and floods must be confined within proper limits to prevent the destruction of about 440 feet of the sea wall about to be reclaimed from the sea or the premises hereafter to be erected should the Stream undermine the rubble stone foundation wall and retaining wall bounding the Praya.
A plan of the site is attached, showing the works proposed to be executed by Government tinted, the Praya and work to pavement of coloured, the extension of the Praya in front of Orichterlony Battery may be postponed for some months and the amount necessary for it as well as works to the gas works brought forward.
