The division wall of this Tank has been built considerable thicker and stronger than originally intended so as to enable it to resist the pressure should one half of the Bank be charged and the other empty. The covering arches are supported by walls built in cement and brick piers, with granite foundations, instead of brick piers and arches only as described for the first Reservoir.
