I have to add that I have made arrangements with Mr. Richardson, a practitioner among the shipping in harbor, to take medical charge of the Hulk at an annual Salary of $1000 - Surgeon will visit when necessary but it would not have been possible for him to attend his duties here, and at such a great distance.
The Colonial Surgeon will visit when necessary.
Great relief is felt in Victoria Gaol at the drafting off of so large a number of Convicts. The Hulk is thoroughly well filled in every respect, and I apprehend that she will always be found useful as Auxiliary to Our Gaol accommodation, even when that accommodation shall have been extended.
