I have the honor to transmit copy of correspondence with the Colonial Treasurer relative to an application by the First Shroff in his Department to be allowed the half salary of the Second Shroff for the six months ending 31st March last; on the ground that he has been doing the duties of the Second Shroff's Office during that period.
