of munitions of war to the Rebels in China, is
satisfactory proof
of the careful attention bestowed on
the transaction of business by the
Authorities

perspicuity of their administration,
whilst the Honorable Consul's assurance that authorized Agents
shall receive facilities and assistance,
on notice being given beforehand, additionally illustrates the happy relations of concord and friendship
between China and foreign nations.
The Viceroy is inspired with deep satisfaction and
any future case where officials may be despatched
to Hongkong to purchase Military stores, he will take care to give previous notice to the Honorable Consul in order that communication be made to the Hongkong Authorities, and due facilities may be obtained.
