I but I do not like to allow the present
Mail to leave without observing that if it is intended to introduce the New Syotim of currency with the proposed huw bronze cent piece
as the only Subsidiary Coin to the Dollar,
a
much larger quantity of these Coins will be necessary than that recommended to be prepared immediately by the. Master of the mint in his letter to the Lords of the Treasury of the 26th February 1862, bigh 5,000-
Mollars.

am of opinion that the Smallest quantity of these Coins
which
would
suffice
to start with, would)
be one million or 10,000 Dollars.
