total amount due to the Board
of Trade, viz: £162.0.14, to be remitted to London.
Although the Surveyor Master has been authorized
at the desire of
the Board
of Trade,
this expenditure is
altogether unprovided for.
As soon
as the Chief
Justice returns from Shanghae, where he is at present absent on sick leave, the proceeds of Estate will be transferred to the Revenue of the Colony,
and the
Board of
Trade will account direct with that department with the view of avoiding delay, I think it right the Colony is held responsible for any default, that these accounts should be audited here; and I
