Barracks are required at Kowloon for from 1100 to 1200 men, but as part of this number may be lodged in the different batteries, the principal barrack should be for about 1000 men.
The most healthy site available for such a large Barrack has been fully reported on by a Board of Medical officers recently assembled.
A hill near the S.W. extremity is of superior height as shown on the sketch.
