Chinese ground of there being teacher at King's College, the Home Government have
· confined themselves in the selection of Candidates to that Establishment.
I have only to add that I have brought this subject before the Legislative Council, and the members of
that Body entirely concur in the views I have expressed, and are prepared to vote the necessary supplies for giving effect to them. I trust,
therefore, that no time will be lost at home in carrying out the proposed scheme, if it should meet with your Grace's approval.
