I am to aquaint you to refer this Landstich to Mr. Therinales letter of the 5th Feb: 1857. from which it appears that The Enumeration Auditor at Hong Kong was allowed by a fixed annual salary of £600, and also by a fixed salary of £300 for Colonial work, and an allowance of £300 for Consular Work.
Enemer it appears from M. Arbuthnot's letter that Some duties, Routine and official, with not Judicial, allotted with 568 has only authorized Mr Pridhill, the Acting Auditor, the half salary, during his continued office,
I am to observe that additional cost will Accrue should this Lp. be able to recommend to Grant Mr. Rammier's application.
