was, several vessels sailed under the British flag from Hong Kong, when they were not owned, to San Francisco, and

Mr George Waddell, of Hong Kong, a British subject. The British flag was changed at San Francisco, and the New Grenadian flag was taken and given within the returned to Hong Kong. A certificate of these facts,

sent by Waddell,

is now in London,

and well known to Sir John Browning.
