They have had under Their Consideration all the circumstances connected with Mr. Inglis's employment, and they are willing, under the special circumstances, to treat his service as if it had been continuous from his first appointment in 1844.
Their Lordships would observe, however, that the total service, when considered, amounts only to nine years and four months, and they do not consider that they would be justified in acceding to the request
