Board of Trade

Duke

You will now. The Dale of Newcastle to communicate the love to the Janusener of Houghing.

Their Lordships request that this Grove will point out to the Governor that it will be highly desirable that the Local Government should undertake the management, and the maintenance, of the Hongkong post office, on the 1st May next, and Their Lordships have no doubt that the information, now furnished by the Postmaster General, will enable the Governor to carry out the arrangements expressed.

They agree with the opinion expressed by the Postmaster General that the management of the British Post Office Agencies at the Consular Ports in China, and at Nagasaki Japan, should be conducted by the Hongkong Post Office; and They request that this Grove will instruct the Governor to prepare, for the consideration of the Postmaster General, the Statement required in the latter part of his report.

I am,

Your obedient servant,

Les Allemillen
