Governor's alteration is made in regard to this allowance to the Attorney General, though no change has been made in this or other emoluments.

With reference to my Despatch No. 5t. of the 21st of Dec last relative to the Remuneration of the Attorney General, I beg to inform you that the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs is of opinion that the allowance of £250 per year hitherto paid to the Attorney General in respect of his services to the Foreign Office should be continued to that officer.
