This circumstance, coupled with the fact that

the Government House

is a very extensive

one, and that the salary of the office

is no longer £3000 per

annum, affords

some justification

for the application

submitted in

my letter of 11 January.

But the Duke of Newcastle wishes

that their Lordships

should consider this additional statement
