upon the prisoners, or, such other commutation or remission of the sentence, in mitigation of it, as the peculiar circumstances of the case, motives of public policy, position of the prisoners, may warrant, and to Your Excellency may seem meet, and consistent with your power, and duty as Her Majesty's Representative in this colony.
The sentence passed upon the prisoners is four Years' Penal servitude.
