I believe that few European constitutions without occasional change, can, withstand the peculiarly enervating influence of this climate, for a series of years. That such is the case I conclude after experience extending nearly 15 years, among residents in China, who I have found, whether Merchants or professional men, to whom time is Money feel the miscuity to make more trips, each year, from one part of the Empire to the other or to the neighbouring countries.
