in air, Maximum in sun, and Minimum on Grass, ( this latter just about to be observed) - Rain fall, Force of wind, Humidity, Dew point, Elastic force of Vapour.
The observations for the last several years were obtained in England either from the office of Inspector General of Fortifications or the Royal Meteorological Department, Southampton.
