I had been unable to obtain any further intelligence regarding the deceased until a few days ago when my notice was drawn to an advertisement in the China Mail newspaper, under date 10th Ultimo, from which I learn that Mr Caine, Her Majesty's Consul at Swatow, has taken official charge of O'Hanrahan's intertate Estate, and will doubtless be in a position to satisfy every enquiry made by the relatives of the deceased.
Under these circumstances there will be no necessity for the prosecution of further enquiry by me.
