1.99 of 24th July last, and to report further that on the 13th of last month I commenced a Public Inquiry before the Executive Council into the matters to which your attention had been directed by your Confidential despatch of 11th January last.
That enquiry is still in progress, but on its conclusion your Grace shall be at once put in possession of all the proceedings, together with the decision at which, with the advice of the Council, I shall have finally arrived.
