An Ordinance for the Establishment of a Civil List. [17th August, 1860.]

BE it enacted and ordained by His Excellency the Governor of Hongkong, with the

Advice of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

I. There shall be payable in every Year to Her Majesty, Her Heirs and Successors,

Appropriation of

out of the General Revenue of the Colony of Hongkong, the several Sums not exceeding £27,000

in the whole the Sum of TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND POUNDS for defraying the Expense

of the several Salaries named in the Schedule A, to this Ordinance annexed, the said several Sums

to be issued by the Colonial Treasurer in discharge of such Warrant or Warrants as shall be from

Time to Time directed under the Hand of the Governor.

II. That this Ordinance shall take effect from the Commencement of the present

Civil List to exist

from 1st August, 1860.
