Summary of the above Ordinance

The Ordinance being to constitute a Marine Court of Inquiry in Hongkong

may

enacts that the Governor when occasion shall require appoint

Five

persons to form a Marine Court - such five persons to be the Chief Magistrate, the Harbor Master, an

unofficial Justice of the Peace and

two others to be either or both Government Marine Surveyors

Master Mariners.

And That such court is to

enquire into the

Cases as are in the United Kingdom

into the same classes
