voyage in 1858 from
Swatow to Havana with coolies, -
I know the Plaintiff, he was
doctor,
on board that Voyage I was present when the captain gave instructions
to bring opium on
board,
instructions were given to
the doctor. (Plaintiff)
and the Interpreter. I saw Opium
on board during
the Voyage with the
doctor and the Interpreter
for
as I can recollect; We had
when
Coolies
left Swatow 276 to 280
on board,
landed 137 at
Havana to the best of my
recollection
