I fully appreciate the motives which have led you to suggest a different arrangement from that which had been sanctioned, and although it may be said that some clauses of the Calomel Regulation have not been adhered to, there is no sufficient reason for causing the Land Committee to reconsider the determination it had arrived at when the question was first brought before them.
