The undersigned have received the enclosed application from Mr. M. &. Filerander who, as already reported, has been placed temporarily as Chief Magistrate on the Bench.
On this application I have to remark that in the event of his not being appointed permanently to the office, His Grace the Duke of Newcastle, &c. &c. &c.
