I Certify that I have professionally attended N.R. Masson, Esqr, Ass = Reg = Supreme Court, since the death of Dr Harland, and that he has suffered from repeated attacks of Remittent Fever and Rheumatism, and notwithstanding his trip to Shanghae in the Autumn of last year, his health and constitution are much impaired; taking into consideration his present condition and his long residence in China I consider his return to Europe before the approaching hot season absolutely necessary.
