by the authorities at the
Police Court. We were detained
in custody until the 15th of
December, when we were all discharged. Except five who
were detained by the magistrate
after our
discharge

taken by the master of the junk which brought us to
Hongkong
and an Interpreter
named Koo Aye to the house
of one Shum thing of the
Gecong
Foch houg.

in number and we remained
in Shum Ahing's House until the 26th December when Shum
Ahing informed us that he
had provided vessels to take
us back to our native place.
