I have the honor to draw Your Grace's attention to Despatches of Sir John Bowring No 75 of 30th April 1839, and of Colonel Caine No 83 of 5th May, No 86 and No 87 of 19th May, and No 108 of 16th May, to only one of which (the last) has this Government hitherto received acknowledgment -- vide Your Grace's Despatch No 18 of 21st August 1859.
