I recommend that the scale proposed by him should be sanctioned. His Grace directs me to add, as the Governor has abstained from naming the amount of salary which should be assigned to himself and the Chief Justice, that in his opinion the Governor's emoluments ought to be fixed at £5000 per annum, and the Chief Justice at £2500.
