I have the honour to report my arrival from Hongkong, on sick leave, by the Pera Mail Steamer; and to forward enclosed Duplicate Despatch No. 110 from that Government.
After medical examination I anticipate being ordered Hydropathic treatment either at Malvern or on the Rhine, consequently my residence in Town will only extend to a few days.
I shall await Your Grace's instructions as to whether my personal attendance at the Colonial Office is desired, or if I am at liberty to depart.
I should also feel grateful if Your Grace would inform me whether my presence is required.
