Lordships over for payment of

It is mentioned that in the month of August 1847,

I had the honour of laying before your Lordship a statement of my case from the date of my suspension to that of the reported abolition of my Office, a period of twelve weeks only.

Referring to my Case, I addressed your Lordship in July, 1878, giving additional details. On subsequent occasions, I further addressed both your Lordship and successive Secretaries of State; though from first to last, the only good which my letters elicited for me was Your Lordship's letter of July, 1878.

Your Lordship desired Governor Bonham to inform me that an answer to both my letters should be sent to me. So doing, your Lordship had assumed the necessary pause. But to this hour, my Lord, I have had no further answer than the simple notification.
