Amended, measure, which the

led him to suppose would

1. The existing proclamation
or proclamations to be repeated
and a New Order in Council to be passed.
2. Public Accounts, wages and
salaries to be forthwith converted
into Dollars
and Cents at 4/2d
Mexican Dollar
Taxes
now payable
in
British money to remain
so payable at the rate of
4/2d.
As
way of relief-
to the holders of such money
& payers of such
taxes-for
a
period
to

7. Taxes to be limited by local

the sovereign & half-sovereign excepted, gold and silver
to be legal tender but British
Silver money to be legal tender
for payments not
exceeding 1 Dollars at the reduced rate of 1/7d. per
