I transmit to you herewith a copy of a letter from the Postmaster General enclosing an application from Mr Chapman, Postmaster at Hong Kong, for 6 months additional leave of absence on medical grounds.
His Grace the Governor has accordingly requested that effect may be given to Mr Chapman's application if he could be spared.
