Colonial Auditor and Assistant Auditor are in the receipt of allowances for certain duties performed by Office, but are under instructions from the Colonial Office to await directions from them for this purpose. Those Officers are under the immediate direction of the Colonial Office.
I am to request that you will move the Colonial Auditor by the mail of the 10th Instant with a copy of the inclosed despatch, and authorize him to give effect to the arrangements explained in it.
