I have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of 22nd instant enclosing the copy of a letter from the Foreign Office, with two Despatches from M. Farren, Her Majesty's Consul at Macao, relative to the application of the Chinese Passengers Act to voyages between China & that Port.
2. M. Farren reports the recent arrival at Macao from Swatow and Amoy of the British Brig "Austion" with Passengers.
