The abolition of the

Office of Lieutenant Governor having

reduced the number of the Executive

Council to two, viz: the Colonial

Secretary and the officer Commanding

the Troops, and the Royal Instruction

enjoining that the number of the

Members

of

the said Council shall

always be three in addition to the Governor, it has become

necessary

to make another appointment.
