I M's Government here.

H

In sending

this Return

I have respectfully to request that His Excellency the Acting Governor would be pleased to forward

a copy of it to

the London Gazette, and the

"Times Newspaper, thus giving

it as wide a

publicity as if the provisions of Section

3 of the Colonial

Ordinance 5 of 1854

had been literally complied with, which I may here be

permitted to observe it is

almost impossible to,

owing to the difficulty

in ascertaining

the next-of-kin in

most of the cases (where

there are no claimants) in

the mother Country of the deceased.

I have to:

(signed) W. H. Alexander.

Registrar

To

The Colonial Secretary.
